Not sure about you, but sunshine, warm weather and longer days fill us with unending energy! It makes sense of course, because according to Traditional Chinese Medicine this is the most 'yang' time of the year, meaning an expression of energy, movement and activity.

This time of year generally calls for lighter, seasonal produce, an upgrade to your skincare routine and rituals that extend your energy so you don't miss out on any of this beautiful season.

So today, we're sharing some of our favourite tips to sustain these months of long nights and turned up temperatures.

Setting your skin up for radiance with our favourite botanical duo - because although both our Nourishing Facial Oil Moisturizer hydrate and nourish skin on their own, combining them together for an indulgent facial massage has quickly become one of our personal favourite beauty rituals for soft, smooth, summer ready skin.

Potent Potion // Fresh Face Exfoliant

You may have heard that exfoliating is one of the key steps to achieving radiant skin, but do you actually know why this weekly ritual is important? As we age, the rate of skin cell turnover slows, meaning the body takes longer to shed old skin cells and generate new ones. Combined with a decrease in the production of collagen (a protein crucial to skin's firmness + elasticity) skin ends up looking dull, dry and in need of some serious attention.

Skin Food // Vegan Rose + Pistachio Ice Cream

One of our all time favourite ingredients for the skin, rose contains potent anti-inflammatory properties that help to calm and cool inflamed complexions, while encouraging skin cell renewal and moisture. Now, we're taking this theme to the table! With summer right around the corner, this year we're planning to beat the heat with a scoop or two of our favourite (vegan!) rose + pistachio ice cream.
